Bioshock Infinite is the third addition to the first person shooter Bioshock video game series. It was developed by Irrational Games and was punished by 2K Games. Bioshock Infinite was released in 2013 by Take-Two Interactive for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, OS X, and Linux. Play the other games in the Bioshock series, the original Bioshock game and Bioshock 2.

The world of Bioshock Infinite is called Columbia and it’s described as being much larger than the city Rapture in Bioshock. Since the world in Bioshock Infinite is so expansive the player will come across much more complex missions involving combat and battles.

The player character in Bioshock Infinite is named Booker. Players will journey across Columbia as Booker in Bioshock Infinite, and use his weapons and equipment to complete missions given by the game. Booker can only carry two weapons at once in Bioshock Infinite, but can trade them out with the weapons dropped by opponents that have been killed.

The health of the player character may go down during combat in Bioshock Infinite. If the player picks up medical kits or eats food their health meter will rise in a Bioshock Infinite. Booker carries a shield with him that acts as defense against enemy fire.

The shield itself can receive damage just like the actual player can. The shield will heal itself after taking a hit. If Bookers health gets too low he’ll die and be spawned in at a safe spot on the map. When he is spawned in after dying he’ll also lose some money. It’s still possible, however, for a player to be revived if they’ve spent all of their money.

Bioshock Infinite features three items that give Booker special skills and abilities. They are the Vigors, Gears, and Infusions. They can be found spaced out around the map of Columbia in Bioshock Infinite.  Vigors are based on the items called plasmids in the original Bioshock.

The player is able to use various magical powers with the vigor, such as sending out shockwaves, targeting enemies with electricity, and taking control of surrounding characters and machines. The source of power for the vigors are salts which can be found around the in game world of Bioshock Infinite.

The next special item in Bioshock Infinite are Gears, which have been compared to the Tonics found in Bioshock. Gears raise the strength of Booked, as well as his ability to avoid damage. Players attach the gears to the characters body in the place of his hat, boots, shirt, and pants. If he has more than four gears they’ll be put up in the players inventory because only one gear can be put in each spot at once.

Finally, the infusions are the third ability granting item featured in Bioshock Infinite. Infusions assist the player with their health. It is able to being their health meter up a great amount and fully heal whatever the player is boosting.
