Bioshock is a first person shooter video game that was developed by 2K Boston, 2K Australia, 2K China, Digital Extremes, and Feral Interactive. Bioshock was published in 2007 for Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows, 2008 for PlayStation 3, 2009 for OS X, 2011 for OnLive, and finally in 2014 for iOS. The setting of Bioshock is set in the year of 1960.

The player will assume the role of the main character named Jack in Bioshock. The gameplay begins with Jack recovering from his plane crash into the ocean. The crash revealed a city named Rapture, which is connected to the bathysphere terminus that Jack crashed next to.

As the main character of Bioshock, Jack, the player will roam around Rapture looking for different missions to complete. The player will encounter enemies that are after him along the journey so it’s important the player gathers weapons along the way.

It’s possible for players to quickly switch back forth between two different weapons. This combination of weapons in Bioshock will be useful in defeating stronger enemies who require powerful forces to be taken down. It’s also important to gather a decent amount of ammunition that will get you through several encounters with enemies until you can find or purchase more.

Another type of weapon found in Bioshock are called plasmids. These weapons are powered with EVE, a special serum. The player can collect syringes that hold the EVE serum to power their plasmid weapons.

By completing certain objectives in Bioshock the player can earn ADAM. They can buy new plasmid weapons with ADAM from special machines called Gatherers Gardens. These plasmid holding machines are spread out around the map and should be easy for the player to come across when they need one.

Bioshock combat will, most likely, cause the players health to fall upon enemy fire. As your health bar goes lower you can regenerate it by finding the medical packs randomly generated around the map of Rapture. If the players health meter gets too low and reaches zero it can no longer be restored through the use of medical packs.

Jack will be transported to the closest Vita-Chamber. Once he’s there he will receive just enough health to allow the use of medical packs and such for regeneration. The developers of Bioshock made it possible for the Vita-Chambers to be turned off, which results in the death of Jack of his health ever gets to zero.

There are vending machines placed around Rapture in Bioshock. The vending machines hold items that the player is going to need to more of eventually. A few of the items include ammunition, EVE, health, and security cameras. Players can buy things from it with their in-game money which they earn by searching Rapture and the fallen bodies of enemies. Hacking the vending machine to lower the prices of items is also an option.

You can play the other Bioshock games, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite – they work really smoothly! You can play other games like Bioshock such as Fallout: New VegasMax Payne 3 and Legend of Grimrock 2.
